Heritage Financial Consultants, LLC today announced that Stefan Andrews, has joined the organization as a financial planner professional in their Naples, Florida office.
Andrews is a Jacksonville, Florida native and military veteran for the United States Army, totaling 10 years of service before joining the financial world in March 2014. From humble beginnings and through life in the Army, he pursued his passion in financial planning with the realization that many are rarely taught personal finance.
Prior to his financial career beginnings, Andy spent seven years on active duty and three years in the National Guard. He first got his start in Washington State with First Command Financial Services, Inc., finding quick success, turning that into a leadership position with the company that saw him relocate with his wife to El Paso, Texas, where he led a top-rated team before making the move to southwest Florida.
In his role as a certified financial planner, he consults clients – who are close to or recently retired – on retirement income planning strategies, estate planning strategies, pension protection/survivorship planning, tax efficiency and tax distribution capabilities and helping individuals align their life goals with the assets they have acquired over time.
“I genuinely like helping folks in retirement,” said Andrews. It’s fulfilling and rewarding to help them lay out their life goals and show them that their foundation is taken care of. It’s great to join a well-respected team such as Heritage’s, one that will help provide greater opportunities for my clients, particularly in the solutions and products arenas, along with gaining a greater wealth of experience so I can grow immensely and better learn how to better take care of people.”
As a military vet, he has taken lessons learned from that time in his life, now drawing on it to help clients pursue their financial goals and dreams by providing sound financial knowledge, trustworthy advice and sound strategy to each relationship he has built over the last decade.
“I pride myself on two lessons that help me today. Without execution of a plan, whether on the battlefield or in retirement, can almost guarantee failure, or at a minimum, significantly reduce the chances of success and really, most importantly, is take care of your people. If you’re relentless in your pursuit of taking care of other people, everything else will fall into place and becomes less about metrics or career advancement. This has been my North Star for quite some time.”
Andrews received his bachelor’s from Excelsior College while serving on active duty. He is currently pursuing his MBA at Florida State University. In his down time, he plays the saxophone, enjoys a day of fishing and cooking.
