Start by asking, “What will my life look like in 20 years?”

The comprehensive financial planning process starts by understanding a client’s unique goals, objectives, lifestyle and long-term vision.

On the Baltimore Business Journal’s inaugural panel on Wealth Management, Kathy Armstrong and Stacey Spedden-Irrgang discussed the importance of developing a financial plan based on client’s own goals. They share why someone should review and update their financial plan at each major stage in life – from starting a career, to getting married, and having children.

Spedden-Irrgang also points out the misconception that comes from the term “wealth management” because everyone needs to plan for their future, not just those of a high net worth.
